Gauri exchanged SRK's t-shirts for a handbag!

When host Farah Khan asks him if Gauri ever cooked for him, as wives generally do for husbands, SRK let us in on a little secret, "When Gauri and I were newly married, my mother-in-law was very disturbed and hassled. Punjabi hain meri mother in law ...

She said, "Agar tenu khaana naahi pakaana aauga (if you won't know cooking).. the way to man's heart is through his stomach.. aur agar accha khaana nahi khilaaogi toh tenu chaad de ga..(if you won't cook good food for him then he will leave you!)" She came to Mumbai and enrolled Gauri in a cooking class. In two days, it was good that she came and then she went back.. I am just joking! The next time she came, she asked me how I was liking Gauri's cooking & praised Gauri a lot. Then I learnt that after my mother in law returned, Gauri enrolled the maids for the cooking class and never went for it herself.

When it comes to gifts too, Gauri has her unique way of handling things. Says SRK, "Normally all the gifts I've given Gauri in the last 24 years, she always accepts it and gives me a casual hug in front of all thanking me and 99.9% of the time, she returns the gift and takes something else in its place.."

Asks Farah, "What does Gauri gift you?" SRK responds, "Gauri has not given me a single gift... Unka excuse hai aur bolne kaa tareeka hai, "what can I give a man who has everything including me?"

He adds, "I was in London after my spine injury and I bought some oversized T-shirts. I couldn't wear them and then I asked Gauri to retun those and get something else. Gauri said that in London we can't exchange them. Later my friends said that Gauri had exchanged the T-shirts and got a hand-bag for herself saying that I was in hospital and what would I do with the new T-shirts, instead a handbag will be more useful ... "

'My Name is Khan' has been creating waves all across the world! The Hindi film fraternity will get to see one of its hottest pairs ready to light the screen on fire after 7 years. This hot and happening couple is none other than Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The duo has given Bollywood some of its greatest blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). They were last seen in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which was released back in 2002.


Well, Karan Johar's 'My Name is Khan' just wrapped its final shooting days on October 1st. Sadness frowned upon the whole set of 'My Name is Khan'. The whole unit of 'My Name is Khan' was not a film unit but more like a family. Director Karan Johar recently stated on a social networking site that this team was the best team he's ever worked and furthermore, he will definitely miss each and every person. Karan particularly stated Shah Rukh's name saying that he had been amazing throughout the movie and really deserves his legendary status.


More so, the leading lady of 'My Name is Khan', Kajol who essays the role of Mandira Khan,  also expressed how she will miss the whole unit and fun associated with the film!

SRK on Tere Mere Beach Mein

For the first time on television, SRK's brother-in-law Vikrant & mother in law Savita ji joins him to disclose some funny moments of his life. Vikrant teases SRK as he reveals how he has sacrificed his acting skills just to see his jijaji become King Khan. Everyone has a huge laughter when Vikrant describes how pathetic SRK sounded when he asked permission from Vikrant to dance with his sister Gauri. 'Main yaha hi khada hoon, tu kar le dance.. aur ek baat samaj le...Hanky panky nahi hona chahiye', Vikrant warned SRK before letting him dance with Gauri. SRK & Vikrant share a very friendly relation and they keep on cracking jokes on each other. Savita ji, SRK's mother in law was not too happy with her daughter's marriage to Shah Rukh. But she had accepted him as his son-in-law the moment he got married to Gauri. She also revealed that SRK is her advisor now and she gets very tensed when his movies doesn't work well at the box office. SRK shared a very funny incident when Karan Johar was directing his first movie and they were having dinner together, Savita ji said 'I don't think this guy can make a movie, he is such a small and sweet boy you have to be a director like Yash Chopra' This episode is full of fun & laughter where we get to see a different SRK altogether. SRK in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon on November 1

he was born in Delhi, in Talwar Nursing Home. He lived here for more than two decades in Rajinder Nagar.

He explains "It is here that I studied, met Gauri for the first time and even started my career with serials like Fauji and Dil Darya. I remember I used to be the galli cricket champion. We used to play between parked vehicles and dodge cycle rickshaws. In between all this, we would still manage to remain focussed on the game. It did not matter how narrow the bylanes of Rajinder Nagar were or how much traffic there would be on the roads. What mattered most to us was the score? Those memories are still fresh and never fail to bring a smile to my face".

SRK could not stop himself when Airtel invited me to be part of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon on November 1.The reason being a part of marathon was ,revive the memories he spended in his own home , returning to the same streets and come together with Dilliwalas while they take to the streets was extremely tempting. It almost feels like Delhi has got its very own carnival. And I can't miss it for anything.

Last year, when I saw the marathon on television. It almost looked like people had left behind their everyday jobs and shed all inhibitions for the complete joy of running on the streets. It was almost like everyone had become a child again.

So Dilliwalas, on, November 1, I will be here. Join me!

Angelina first, Gauri No 2: SRK

Shah Rukh Khan admits to stopping Gauri from wearing short skirts when they were dating.

As Tere Mere Beach Mein host Farah Khan grills SRK, she asks if he ever told Gauri not to wear certain outfits or curtailed her movements. SRK admits to being insecure of his relationship like most men in the initial years that they were dating. He says, "I wouldn't like it if Gauri left her hair loose. She's so beautiful that I used to stop her wearing mini-skirts or T-shirts. But I promised her the minute we married that I'd never behave in such a rotten manner. She would never feel curbed from doing anything. I was only insecure till we were married because I didn't know if she belonged to me like I belonged to her."

He adds, "Today, if she returns from a party wearing a long skirt even Aryan asks her not to wear it as he doesn't like her in long covered clothes. He considers her the most beautiful and his second choice is Angelina." Farah asks, "I am guessing the same goes for you!" SRK retorts, "No, for me, it's Angelina at No.1 & Gauri is No. 2!"
