Shahrukh to shoot for Yash Chopra's next in 2012

The wait for the first shot of the reunion of the awesome twosome the Badshaah of Bollywood SRK and the King of Romance Yash Raj gets a bit longer.

A close hand reveals that the shoot will commence anytime in Jan 2012... The ace B-town filmmaker Yash Raj is ready with the script but the promotion activities of 'Ra.One' and 'Don 2' is keeping King Khan very occupied, hence he requested Yashji to commence the shoot once he's done with these two films.

No need to say, Yash Ji immediately agreed as both SRK and Yashji share a special bonding between them.

The shooting of the main portion of the film is expected by early Jan 2012 but during this time music mastero Rahman is expected to record the songs of the film before the dream YRF love story starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead goes on floors.

We wish the team all the best

Ra.One’s music goes places

MOV.jpg
The music of Ra.One is going places even before the film has. Prague and London are where the film's background score has been finalised, making this some highly expensive music indeed. All this is part of Shah Rukh Khan's effort to make Ra.One the biggest phenomenon ever to hit Bollywood.
A source connected to the film says, "SRK is looking at competing with films like the Spiderman and Batman franchises. So he wants to get everything right — including the music. He discussed it with director Anubhav Sinha and his music composers Vishal-Shekhar, and they agreed that on this course of action. In fact, Vishal-Shekhar got together a 200-piece orchestra in Prague to record the background score."
The effort seems to have paid off, with everyone who is in the know claiming that the track is extremely international in its sensibilities and the best they have heard in a long time. "Later, the music was also taken to the London studios to put in additional effects," our source says. "Of course this was an expensive process, but all SRK wanted to know was — would these effects make a difference when heard in the theatres? Once he received an affirmative answer, it was full steam ahead." The background score will be part of the Ra.One music CDs that are expected out in music stores by next month.

Shahrukh rules hearts of Tibetans

They may be thousands of miles away from Bollywood, but Tibetans' love for Hindi films and stars, especially Shahrukh Khan, is immeasurable.

Even in the remotest regions of Tibet, people love to dance to the Bollywood tunes and entertain themselves with Hindi films, both old and new, as DVDs of these movies are easily available in the markets here.

"Tibetans enjoy Hindi films as they are full of entertainment with songs and dance numbers," says Nyimapondour, who works for the local government.

She says her 11-year-old daughter is an ardent fan of Shahrukh Khan and loves to watch all his movies.

Yixidanzeng, a photographer, can also sing songs from Bollywood movies. "I have been watching Bollywood movies for a long time. My family members also like to watch Shahrukh Khan's movies."

"Even in the Tibetan villages, people can be seen enjoying Bollywood movies," says Yixidanzeng, humming one of his favourite songs 'aaja re mere dibar aaja, dil ki pyaas bujha ja re' from the 1979 film 'Noori' that starred Poonam Dhillon and Farooque Shiekh.
Zhaxiluobu, another Tibetan employed with the local government, calls Shahrukh Khan his favourite actor.

"I love to dance like Shahrukh. I try to copy his steps and entertain my family and friends," says Zhaxiluobu, father of a 12-year-old son.

One of his favourite Shahrukh songs is 'aankhe khuli ho ya ho band, deedar unka hota hai' from the film 'Mohabbatein'.

Zhaxiluobu hopes to meet the star one day and tell him how much people of the remote Himalayan region of China admire him.

Zhouma, a young Tibetan woman, has stored Hindi film songs in her mobile phone and says she often listen to them in her free time.

"Hindi films are big entertainers and are easily available in the DVD stores. Even, small kids can be heard singing Hindi film songs in Tibet," she says

I’m making the biggest film this country has ever made—SRK

His archrival Salman's latest venture 'Bodyguard' is doing wonders at the box-office, and now it's Shahrukh's superhero flick 'Ra.One's turn to win the hearts of moviegoers.

Recently, at the launch of an eponymous book on marketing, co-authored by Arindam Chaudhuri and his wife Rajita, Shahrukh, talking about his upcoming film 'Ra.One', stated that he is making the biggest film of India.

Apparently, the superstar has invested around Rs. 150 crore in making his pet project.

SRK, as quoted in IANS, said, "I am making the biggest film this country has ever made ('RA.One') and I will be proud even if it flops and does not succeed because I want to change the game I play. I do not want to be in the same playing field as others."

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the upcoming film 'Ra.One' stars Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.

The movie, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is slated for an Oct. 26 release.

Shahrukh: I don't come for free
Shahrukh, who plays the character of a superhero in his upcoming sci-fi flick 'Ra.One', stated that he doesn't come for free.

The actor expressed that he works in movies because he wants to make people smile. One can make him dance, do street theatre or anything else; he is ready to do all, provided it brings a smile on everyone's face.

While addressing the gatherers at the event, Shahrukh articulated, "I am a big believer of selling dreams. Everything comes at a price... life comes at a price tag of death itself. Except for the emotions that parents and children share, everything is for sale... I don't come for free either.

"You can make me do an item number in films, dance at a wedding, do street theatre as long as it makes people smile. I am a proud seller of dreams... and as long as it makes people smile, I will do it."

I want Salman to come back completely cured, says SRK
Though Shahrukh is not sharing a good rapport with Salman these days, he wishes that his archenemy, the 'Dabangg' Khan gets completely cured soon.

Salman is currently in U.S., undergoing treatment for a painful nerve disorder.

Fielding a question about Sallu's health, the actor said, "I don't know the details of Salman's injury, but I think all of us, including myself, pray for his speedious (that's what he said) recovery and I want him to come back completely cured.

"Salman's a tough guy and Insha Allah he will recover very very fast and he needs to come back to where he belongs, which is to the top of his game. I dont think me saying that makes any difference but all of us, while he is away, will make sure that we look after "Bodyguard".
