Ra.One’s music goes places

MOV.jpg
The music of Ra.One is going places even before the film has. Prague and London are where the film's background score has been finalised, making this some highly expensive music indeed. All this is part of Shah Rukh Khan's effort to make Ra.One the biggest phenomenon ever to hit Bollywood.
A source connected to the film says, "SRK is looking at competing with films like the Spiderman and Batman franchises. So he wants to get everything right — including the music. He discussed it with director Anubhav Sinha and his music composers Vishal-Shekhar, and they agreed that on this course of action. In fact, Vishal-Shekhar got together a 200-piece orchestra in Prague to record the background score."
The effort seems to have paid off, with everyone who is in the know claiming that the track is extremely international in its sensibilities and the best they have heard in a long time. "Later, the music was also taken to the London studios to put in additional effects," our source says. "Of course this was an expensive process, but all SRK wanted to know was — would these effects make a difference when heard in the theatres? Once he received an affirmative answer, it was full steam ahead." The background score will be part of the Ra.One music CDs that are expected out in music stores by next month.
