Rubbishing all apprehensions of Knight Riders moving out of Kolkata, Shahrukh Khan, after having a discussion with the Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) newly elected president Jagmohan Dalmiya, said that the Knight Riders will continue to have Eden Gardens as its home ground in the coming IPL tournament.
Though Shahrukh Khan kept mum but the CAB sources revealed that Khan has assured Dalmiya that he has no intention to take the Knight Riders team out of Kolkata.
"King Khan has assured Dalmiya that he will soon have a detailed meeting with the CAB officials and resolve problems that have surfaced recently," said a senior CAB official.
After meeting Dalmiya, King Khan said, "I have been to CAB to say hello to Mr Dalmiya. I should have come earlier to greet him but my busy schedule prevented me from doing so."
Dalmiya had recently shot a letter to Shahrukh Khan's company that the CAB is yet to get the details of Rs 7.26 crore spend during the last IPL matches in Eden Gardens.
Following this move by the newly elected body of the CAB, rumours surfaced that Knight Riders will move out to any other state as its home ground.
Shahrukh Khan also said that he has already send his best wishes to Sourav Ganguly, the captain of the Knight Riders, after he was picked up for the Indian Test side.
"I feel happy when our team members play well. Dada is a brilliant player. I am sure that he will hit centuries in the ensuing Test matches against Australia," said King Khan.
The Bollywood badshah, added that he feels happy to hear that Ajanta Mendis, Ricky Ponting and Shoaib Akthar are performing well.source : http://indiatoday.digitaltoday.in/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16840§ionid=4&issueid=74&Itemid=1
