Veiled compassionate acts of B-town celebs often go unnoticed in the midst of stirring glitz of the glamour world. King Khan Shah Rukh Khan has been silently doing his bit for the needy, especially with medical aid, and it has now been revealed that the big hearted Khan is planning to fund a cancer wing for the underprivileged in Mumbai in memory of his parents.
Very few know that Shah Rukh Khan has been lending financial support to a children wards in a top city hospital and with an intend to take his charity one step ahead the actor has now pledged his backing to a cancer wing to wipe out the dreaded ailment after losing his mother Fatima and father Taj Mohammad Khan to the disease a few years ago.
Sharing facts with a daily, a source said, "It is all in the planning stage. He has been talking about doing this but hasn`t decided when, where and how. SRK becomes very sad when he comes across cases of terminally ill people who have no proper medical facilities."
The source added, "The plan should be underway within a couple of years. Some doctors, known to him, will also be invited to help out in the project."
