Shah Rukh Khan's IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, lost badly to the Royal Challengers Bangalore team at the match played in Bangalore today (April 10). SRK's team scored just 160, while the Bangalore team reached 164 in the 17th over to win by seven wickets.
SRK wasn't at the match today. But his 'Om Shanti Om' co-star Deepika Padukone was there, cheering for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, with Siddharth Mallya, whose father Vijay Mallya owns the team. Deepika and Siddharth have been hanging out together a lot at the IPL matches, and people have been wondering if they are more than friends. Well, they do seem to be open about their friendship for sure.
Meanwhile, are SRK and Deepika in opposing camps? Well, they are and they aren't. SRK tweeted pre-match, "My friend vijay mallya is so kind in b'lore & deepika also called...but have to stay bak in mumbai & sort out stuff. kkr wil win inshaallah."
They didn't win, but SRK did get a very sweet message from Deepika much before the match between the two teams even began. She posted on her Twitter account, "wish u could make it to tdays game.will miss u...:-(havnt seen u in ages...lots of love."
Good to see that they're friends even when cheering for opposing teams.
