Shah Rukh Khan's agreeing to perform on a medley of popular Tamil and Telegu tracks at the opening of the Indian Premiere League 2011 in Chennai tonight has already won him all the support from South India.
And the one most charmed is South's leading actress Shriya Saran, who will perform on three Tamil and Telegu tracks with SRK tonight. A huge SRK admirer Shriya gushes, "It's really sweet of him to perform in a language that he is not familiar with. We have been rehearsing and he's so effortlessly slipped into the performance, as if he belongs here. I am already charmed, so is the entire South India".
Shriya had briefly met SRK once in an award ceremony, but this meeting tonight will be special. "I am a trained kathak dancer and I love dancing, but to perform with SRK is like a dream come true. I have grown up on his movies and like every actress have a strong desire to star opposite him," says an excited Shriya who lists almost all romantic movies of Shah Rukh Khan as her favorite.
"I want to do Madhuri's role in `Dil toh Paagal Hai' opposite SRK", hopes Shriya. And we hope someone out there is listening to Shriya's appeal.
